What goes well with your Lamborghini; a gardening kit, suitcases or a Smartphone? Well, you can add a watch to the list too now, thanks to the Lamborghini AV-L001 (Adriano Valente). Limited to just 66 units per year, the Swiss made watches are said to be the “world’s first watch in the world designed to match a car brand a model and not the opposite”. It is also said to be the only watch to be made available in existing car color.

FREDERIQUE CONSTANT REVEALS THEIR LATEST HEART BEAT MANUFACTURER GMT AUTOMATIC

Frederique Constant has added a new beat to their Heart Beat Collection. They have unveiled their latest Heart Beat Manufacturer GMT Automatic. With a Swiss automatic movement and FC-938 caliber GMT complication, this watch has 27 jewels and a power reserve of 42 hours. The 42mm case is water resistant to 50 meters with AR-coated sapphire crystal. The balance wheel which beats 28,000 times per hour rotates clockwise and counter clockwise. It is visible through the open eye of Heart Beat which we have to say is a pleasure to watch.

As I mentioned yesterday, I wanted to give these pictures of the Miu Miu Spring 2012 shoes a chance to settle before I wrote about them, just in case they grew on me in the space of 24 hours. Stranger things have happened, and I always like to give Miuccia the chance that she’s well earned by now. Unfortunately, my opinion hasn’t changed very much .

I’m not saying that the Miu Miu Spring 2012 handbags are bad; they’re not. They’re fine for the very narrow look of this runway show, but they’re not particularly relevant to anything beyond it, and most of them certainly don’t look like what the Miu Miu customer carries in her day-to-day life. I’d carry one because I’m a huge, unapologetic Miu Miu fangirl, but beyond that, I can’t see these bags having a wider appeal.

Excuse me while I echo the sentiments about the Dior Spring 2012 collection that have already been expressed by everyone else in the fashion industry: It’s kind of a placeholder, yes? Months have passed and Dior still doesn’t have a replacement for John Galliano, so the collection is being designed by what the French call “le studio.” Bill Gaytten, long Galliano’s right-hand man, has taken the reins, along with the rest of the Dior creative team .

Hublot knows that well and has plans to add more diamonds as well as dollars to their $3million BigBang timepiece with a special a diamond-encrusted wristwatch, worth a staggering $5 million! So what does this shining watch bring forth? Well, how about starting with the 300 carats of diamonds that it will be adorned with. The watch is slated for a 2012 launch and will be available in a variety of options including yellow gold, red gold, steel and a black ceramic variant, apart from those in 11 different colors and shades. I wouldn’t mind having one for myself either!

HUBLOT F1 KING POWER SUZUKA CELEBRATES THE JAPANESE GRAND PRIX

As Japan gears up for the 2011 Formula 1 Japanese Grand Prix, Round 15 of the FIA Formula One World Championship, the official timekeepers Hublot took time off to launch the F1 King Power Suzuka watch. Tagged as a tribute to the Japanese circuit, the limited edition watch sports white and red hues from the Japanese flag.

After seeing so many Spring/ Summer 2012 collections I tend to think that men-designers know better how to dress a woman so that she looked perfect. I am in no way trying to say that women-designers can’t create great pieces. They can. But there is something about collections made by men that mesmerizes. For example, Elie Saab’s Spring/ Summer 2012 range is simply ideal. 46 ideal looks – feminine, sexy, exquisite… I love every piece he presented .

We get a little glimpse here and there of where Phoebe Philo’s brilliance is headed for the season, but mostly her fans are left waiting for spy pictures to surface to get a better idea of where our money will be headed in the coming months. They recently unveiled their TAG Heuer Link Smartphone named Full Diamonds & White Lizard. This Smartphone is bejeweled with 1007 diamonds of 2.53 carats and offers a very sleek appearance. The back is stainless steel with white lizard texture. All of 3.5” with 800 x 480 display, the phone is equipped with a 5.0 megapixel camera. In addition to that it also is Bluetooth operational and offers services by Android OS. The price for now is available only by request, but if you absolutely must have it then the Smartphone can be reserved through pre-order.

MB & F LEGACY MACHINE NO.1 BOASTS OF THE WORLD'S FIRST VERTICAL POWER RESERVE

I have a strange affinity to antique watches, they make me wonder how regal the old times would be, and how the class and elegance the stunning watches despite being around for so many decades. I don’t seem to be alone in pondering, as MB&F also has decided to take a step back in time to come out with the Legacy Machine No.1 (LM1). The stunning watch is created from scratch, with the help of Jean-François Mojon and Kari Voutilainen.
