CHANEL’S EXCLUSIVE NEW BAGS FOR THE BELLAGIO LAZ VEGAS

Unless you’ve been living under a rock (or you don’t follow any fashion people on Twitter), you know that Chanel has made quite a splash in Las Vegas lately. Not only did the brand debut a lavish invite-only exhibition called Numéros Privés at the Wynn Las Vegas over the weekend, but yesterday, Chanel celebrated the grand reopening of its exquisite Bellagio boutique.
With that reopening comes five (5!) special edition bags that will be exclusive to the Chanel Bellagio Las Vegas. The bags, all variations on the brand’s much-lauded Classic Flap, have a little bit of extra sparkle to them that feels right at home when discussing Sin City. There’s even one with a dice charm – how appropriate. Take a look at all of the Bellagio exclusives after the jump, and

SNEAK PEEK : CHANEL FALL 2011 HANDBAGS

For those of you who were disappointed that Chanel’s Fall 2011 runway show only featured a couple of handbag styles, fret not. We have a few more pieces to show you, courtesy of the fine folks at Style.com, plus a closer look at the modified flap bags that were featured on several models during the presentation.
This still isn’t enough to evaluate the whole collection, but I like most of what I see so far. Although I don’t entirely understand the photo of the gold python bag(s) (is it one or two?), I simply adore the finish of the material and hope to see it on lots of accessories come fall. In addition to the runway bags, designs of which you guys already know I approve, I’m also digging the post-apocalyptic python flap bag up top. It looks like it’s decomposing, but against all odds, Chanel makes it work in the context of the dystopian Fall 2011 collection. Check out the photos after the jump.

WANT IT WEDNESDAY : CHANEL ICE CREAM CONE

This morning I woke up to sleet then snow then rain then a combination of the three. Even though spring has officially sprung, it remains cold and dreary in NYC.
That is why this Wednesday I am wanting warm weather, sunshine, and for Chanel to legitimately make ice cream cones. When this photo started circulating the internet, I momentarily wondered if Chanel indeed decided to make luxury waffle cones. They didn’t, but if Chanel is reading this, I want them to know that I think it should take on the luxury ice cream cone market.
So let’s all close our eyes and pretend that winter is over and beach weather is upon us

CHANEL PARIS BYZANCE PRE-FALL 2011 COLLECTION

Tuesday December 7th 2010 – Rue Cambon – Chanel Haute Couture Salons

It was a snowy day yesterday in Paris but the atmosphere in the Chanel Haute Couture salons transported the guests to another era, time and place. This is the Paris Byzance Métiers d’art show, broadcasting CHANEL’s specialist craftsmen “proteges”. These include the ateliers of Desrues the costume jeweler, Lemarié the feather specialist, Lesage the embroiderer, Massaro the shoe-maker, Michel the milliner, Goossens the goldsmith and Guillet the floral accessory specialist. Back in 2002, Karl Lagerfeld dedicated an annual collection to them, whilst also celebrating a city that is part of the House’s history.

This year, for the ninth occasion, he brings us the “Paris Byzance” collection, in keeping with the opening of a second CHANEL boutique in Istanbul.

CHANEL LIMITED IN MILAN

Two limited edition items to celebrate an important event. In conjunction with the reopening of Chanel boutique in Milan, the French Maison launches two items that Karl Lagerfeld has designed especially for this occasion, therefore are strictly limited edition.

They are both reinterpretation of Chanel iconic pieces. The first one is a white calfskin oversized version of the classic matelassé bag with signature shoulder chain strap. Such sophisticated, chic and classic accessory will complement the look of 350 women - this being the number of bags available - who despite having different styles and being of different ages are united by a penchant for elegance and the double C logo.
